The vacation rental:

Our bungalow is situated in a beautiful valley in Kaernten (Carinthia) on a mountain slope, surrounded by meadows and forests. The ideal place for active holiday activities or just to relax and rest. The bungalow / cottage is comfortably furnished.

There is a sunbathing area and a grill, bed-linens, towels, deck chairs, etc. Simply everything you need for a restful vacation.

Leisure activities:

Hiking, mountain-climbing, swimming, diving, sailing, horseback riding, fishing, cycling, culture, hunting, tennis, golfing, parasailing, water-rafting and shopping. There are all varieties of winter sports available!! Purchase a Kaernten-pass during the summer months, for 34 Euros for adults/14 Euros for children, and you receive free admission to over one hundred activities. The pass is valid for 2 weeks. The Ski-bus in the local area and the area of Katschberg is free up to Gmuend.

The surrounding area:

The village is located in the Liesertal, at the foot of the Housemountain Tschirnock. From here you have a marvelous view of several mountain ranges as well as the Malta Valley and the little town Gmuend.

Description of journey:

If you are coming from Salzburg take the Tauer-Autobahn (expressway-motorway) south, then drive through the Tauertunnel, approx. 12.5 miles until you come to the Autobahn (expressway-motorway) Gmuend.
If you are coming from the South:
Autobahn (expressway-motorway) via Klagenfurt Villach - Spittal - Gmuend. Immediately at the end of the Autobahn turn right and drive approx. 1 mile uphill, and to the third house on the left.
